British “Incompetent” Telecom accidentally cut me off a week before they were supposed to discontinue my service as I’m moving house. The following is the second Email I wrote to them today. They didn’t answer my first email and I can’t call them because they cut me off and don’t even provide a service access number like the mobile phone companies do!
“I am absolutely furious today! I tried to use my phone and found it to be disconnected!
I called BT last week to inform you that I was moving house tomorrow and that I would need the phone to be disconnected at midday tomorrow… read that again…. TOMORROW!
Here’s what actually happened. The same day I called up which I believe was Wednesday last week I find my phone cut off immediately! I then had to travel 10 miles to use the phone of a family member in order to call you. I was then told it would be reconnected within 48hours. Unacceptable but I had no choice.
I then get a call saying that not only can you not reconnect me but that it now won’t happen until Monday of the following week. Oh and Mr Fox by the way you can’t have your existing number we have to give you a temporary number.
So I lost £600 worth of Business because a client was trying to reach me and couldn’t because the number was dead!
I then find today that you have disconnected me again! God knows when this happened but it’s more than a full 24 hours before you should have done!
I am hopping mad at the complete incompetence displayed by BT. You cannot perform the simplest of tasks and I will definitely not be paying the final disconnection charges of £60 If anything you should be compensating me for the lost revenue due to your idiocy!
I also sent an email about this last week and have still had no response.
I want action on this and I want it now!”
